Essential Oils In Dog Training

Using Essential Oils in Behavioral Dog Training

Years ago in my training business, I came across cases where training alone wasn't enough. Like many of us, I believed that solid training techniques could fix anything.

But then, I started hitting plateaus—especially with dogs dealing with aggression, trauma, abuse, or deep-seated fear. In some cases, nothing seemed to break through. That’s when I knew I had to dig deeper.

My first situation was with a dog who literally screamed in terror when she saw another dog. Walks were impossible. Life in the neighborhood was miserable. Even board and train left us struggling. Another case was after my client and his dog were attacked brutally by multiple off-leash dogs. They were not only physically affected, but emotionally.

I explored emotional release work. I also began exploring how much nutrition, liver support, and detoxing from long-term exposure to vaccines, flea and tick products, and other toxins impacted these dogs. That journey led me to essential oils, herbs, and natural wellness, and it changed everything.

Below are a few of my favorites and how I used essential oils in dog training and behavior rehab.
