Roasted Beets

Yes, Your dog can have beets in your dog food recipes!


So whether you’re making homemade food or using Volhard — this makes a great addition to your vegetable options, a bonus in the bowl or making a treat!

Roast them and share! Ferment them for added probiotic options or make them into a gummy treat.

Roasted Beets Recipe:

  • 2 1/2 cups Bone broth or Low Sodium Beef / Chicken Stock

  • 3 TBL Manuka honey

  • 1 TBL Beet Powder

  • 1/3 cup Beef Gelatin or Pork

  1. On the stove top, bring broth to a warm simmer. And Turn off heat.

  2. Transfer warm broth to a large measuring cup (4 cup +) (or pourable container) for easy transfer to molds

  3. Stir in your honey and beet powder

  4. Stir in the gelatin little by little stirring constantly until fully incorporated

  5. Pour mixture into your cute puppy paw print or bone molds, or even an ice tray.

  6. Refrigerate to chill and thicken.

  7. Once firm you can remove from molds and store in freeze or fridge as needed for use.
