Don't Change the Ratio

Sometimes when people want to adjust the volume of food they feed they adjust only the mix or only the meat. In general — it throws things out of balance. Stick to the suggested ratios.

Nutrition is more detailed than ever I realized. The more I learn about dog’s nutrition, the more I realize my own personal diet is really wonky. I wish someone would prepare a meal and just give it too me each day :-)

But we can keep the dog’s diet easily balanced — just keep the ratios the same. When you adjust one, adjust the other.

But Dana, I want my dog on a higher or lower protein diet due to health issues, activity levels, etc. No problem… let’s just talk about it and mak sure we’re doing things the right way and balancing your complete nutrient profile.
